Meet the en jay salon crew. We’re a dedicated team of fully qualified, experienced hair stylists based in Mount Maunganui, New Zealand.
All en jay stylists and senior stylists undergo full and on-going training throughout the year. As a Club 5th Avenue Redken salon we receive education updates regularly, allowing us to keep on top of colour trends and techniques.
But most of all, we listen. We care about giving you the best cut, colour and style to suit you and your lifestyle and want you to feel welcome and relaxed, every time you visit.

Nicky - Owner
Mount Maunganui local Nicky Robertson brings a wealth of hairdressing experience to her own business. She’s worked in London, Sydney and New Zealand, in large scale, leading salon groups. She’s managed a team of eight hairdressers in Wellington and led a staff of 24 hair stylists in Sydney.
Her vision for en jay was to bring the knowledge and experience of working in cutting edge salons and big cities back home to her local community.
en jay is a stylish, popular salon and Nicky and her team of stylists are much in demand. Nicky is Redken Colour certified and has a strong belief in investing in education for all the en jay team.
“I believe in creating an exceptional experience for every client who visits en jay and we can only achieve this if we continue our education, learn new skills, techniques and keep up with trends. That’s how we continually evolve.”

Codey - Senior Stylist
Hairdressing has been a passion of Codey’s from a young age.
She loves making people feel confident and beautiful.
She believes healthy/strong hair is important and strives to keep it a priority.
Codey is a mum to two wonderful little boys Hunter and Nikau who keep her super busy out of work hours, they enjoy plenty of family time and the outdoors.
“Hair is every woman’s crown, and we’re all queens” states Codey.
Jemma - Senior Stylist
Jemma is a passionate hairdresser who loves helping her clients look and feel their absolute best. She specialises in blondes, creating beautiful, tailored results that enhance each clients individual style and confidence, while still enjoying all aspects of hairdressing. Known for her warm and welcoming approach. Jemma takes time to truly listen and ensure every client leaves the salon feeling refreshed, confident and cared for. When shes not in the salon, Jemma loves making special memories with her beautiful son and relaxing with a good book.
Gabriella - Stylist
Gaby is a qualified stylist with a genuine passion for an industry that is constantly evolving. From the very beginning of her journey, she has loved being part of a field that embraces creativity, change, and growth.
She believes hairdressing is about much more than just a cut or colour—your hair is a true reflection of who you are. Gaby takes pride in helping her clients not only achieve a beautiful look, but also maintain it. She offers thoughtful guidance on the right products, styling routines, and colour choices to suit each individual.
With a love for a wide range of colouring techniques, Gaby enjoys the variety each day brings. She values the ever-changing nature of hair, knowing that styles can evolve over time. Her focus is on finding the perfect look to complement each client’s lifestyle.
